hi fran,
i use ashton and parsons teething powders. i rub them on to the the gum before bed and it really helps. the good thing with the powders is that you can give two or three during the night if they wake unlike calpol when you have to wait four hours. you can still use calpol with these powders as well.

I use some bonjela on dd's gums and when it's really bad I give her some baby panadol to calm her down a bit.

We use bonjela on Brooke's gums, and if she is still irritable after that we resort to baby panadol. Also giving them a teething ring to bite down on may help.
It's not a very nice time when they're teething.
There's some information at ebabycentre.com
Good luck!

Hi,
Chamomilla granules work a treat.....really calm baby down. Totally natural and 100% organic.

..this time is really hard for mommies(when baby is teething).
I remembered I had this teether(teething ring or I don't know how to call it properly). Just be more patient..this will pass.

i found Ambesol works a treat!
i have used natural powders too which are good. But ambesol, like bonjella, numbs their gums and takes away the pain.
Good luck x

Like Alysha, i use Ashton and Parsons teething powders, they really do work for my daughter Lauren and if her teething is really bad i give her a couple of sachets a time as you can do this. You can buy them from the chemist for a couple of quid and you get aout 30 sachets in a box. Hope this helps xxx

clean the area around your baby’s mouth with a soft or warm washcloth to help prevent the "drool rash" that is often associated with teething. It is very useful fot teeth.
-Teething gel
- Acetaminophen for pain relief
- Petroleum jelly
- Cool, clean wash cloths
- Teething ring
- Teething rusks or biscuits
