hi,
my son is due to have his MMR soon. i recently heard that this is now given in the arm instead of leg. can anyone tell me if this is true or do i have the option between arm and leg? he was great with all his injections so far. in fact he laughed the whole way through. i would like to keep it this way.
thanks.

hi,
well he has has his MMR. i was told that upto 18mnths they have it in the leg but beyond that they prefer the arm. unfortunately for me he moved his leg with the needle still in. he screamed like mad and has been grumpy ever since. he has been left with a bruise on his leg where the needle moved. he resisted from walking for a few days but 'touch wood' he seems ok now. he did have nightmares about it so now i am suffering from severe loss of sleep. however on the good side no side effects yet but they do say give it two weeks. will keep you informed.
