baby check ups

i am a new mum to a nine week old little boy and for love nor money can i get him an appointment to visit the doctor or health visitor he has missed his six to eight week check up and when he had a cold i could not get in. their excuse is always the same the computers are down this has been going on for five weeks please please give me some advice. xxxxxxxxxxx

that's terrible, I've forgotten what they check at the 6 week check so I can't really help with that but if you're despereate for an appointment I'd go in as soon as they open and demand to see someone and don't leave until you have an apt or have been seen.

I'm Sorry to hear that holly lou, I think you must go to your baby's doctor to rescheduling your baby's checkup. Your baby's regularly checkup is very important for his health and imune.

Hi

That's absolutely terrible, can you phone another health visitor and get an appointment with them???  Esp so early on you just want to know that you're little one is growing well and all the rest of it.

From memory I think they take the weight, check eyes, but mainly our health nurse checked to make sure I was coping well, and they ask you a few questions about baby sleeping and feeding.
