I first came across Grobag Baby Sleeping Bags when I was working on the National Childbirth Trust magazine Pregnancy Plus in my pre child persona. Even though I didn't then have children myself I could definitely see the benefit in anything that gave parents of babies and young children extra sleep!
It was a few years after leaving the NCT that I became a parent myself and after swaddling my first daughter initially I quickly moved on to Grobags, Amy loved her 'wearable blanket' and slept in them until she was nearly three when the arrival of child two prompted a move into a big girls bed. They definitely helped her sleep through and we were lucky that from aged three months she rarely woke in the night, I definitely believe this was down to help from her sleeping bag, although I have to admit I was never brave enough to testing this theory by putting her in her cot without it, they were however the first product we ever stocked at babygurgles
Grobags now come in a range of designs including four designs which you can fit a five part harness around, making them useful 'mothers helpers' when travelling in the car or pram. They also come in a range of togs and sizes meaning your baby will always be comfortable and the risk of overheating is lessened. Gro also now produce a range of products all helping parents achieve extra sleep including the Gro Egg which gives you confidence of the temperature in the nursery at a glance, issued with a 'what to wear' guide this is a perfect gift or essential buy for any new parent.
The Grobag is the brain child of Rob and Ouvrielle Holmes who as parents them selves were being driven mad by their baby kicking off their blankets in their sleep, getting cold and waking up. On the continent baby sleeping bags were the norm at that point so they developed their own, working in conjuction with FSID. And that as they say is history.
